Your night serum is the most expensive thing on the shelf, and most of it sits on the surface. Warm mode brings the head to 38–46 °C — the hot-flannel warmth of a good facial — and you press your serum or night cream in with slow, upward strokes. Skin feels softer, looks plumper, and the product goes where you paid for it to go.

What it looks like on real faces.
I bought it for the cold side and stayed for the warm. My under-eyes look flatter by the time the kettle has boiled, and my night cream no longer leaves that film.
The warm setting with the current is the bit I did not expect to love. Three minutes up the jaw and my face looks more awake than it has any right to at ten at night.
Cold from the fridge always felt like a faff. This is properly cold in about a minute and I never have to plan ahead. Redness looks calmer, cheeks look less puffy.
